Columbus Weather: 81 Degrees Today Before Storms Return Tonight, Rain Likely Through the Week

COLUMBUS: Tuesday brings the warmest day of the week with a high near 81 degrees, but storms are coming back tonight and rain is likely through most of the week ahead, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Current conditions at John Glenn Columbus International Airport as of 5:51 a.m.: mostly cloudy, 62 degrees, south wind at 14 mph.

Today, Tuesday March 31: Partly sunny and warm. High near 81 degrees. Southwest wind 13 to 21 mph with gusts up to 34 mph. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 2 a.m., then more showers possible after 4 a.m. Low around 60 degrees. Quarter to half an inch of rain possible. Sixty percent chance of precipitation.

Wednesday April 1: Rain is almost certain. Showers and possible thunderstorms throughout the day. High near 71 degrees. Ninety percent chance of rain. Another quarter to half inch of rain possible.

Wednesday Night: Chance of showers and thunderstorms continues. Low around 55 degrees. Fifty percent chance of rain.

Thursday April 2: Mostly a chance of showers with thunderstorms possible after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, high near 81 degrees. Thirty percent chance of rain. South wind gusting up to 25 mph.

Thursday Night: Chance of showers and thunderstorms returns. Low around 65 degrees.

Friday April 3: Showers likely with thunderstorms possible after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, high near 78 degrees. Seventy percent chance of rain.

Weekend: More of the same. Saturday brings a high near 80 with showers likely and possible thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Sunday drops to near 58 with a chance of showers.

Next Week: A break finally arrives. Monday looks mostly sunny with a high near 53 degrees.
