57° Friday Coming to Columbus Before Saturday Night Snow Mix

It was 34°F at John Glenn Airport this morning, but a warm-up is finally arriving in Columbus. The sun is out today and according to National Weather Service the temperature should hit 45°F. With calm winds, it won’t feel too cold this afternoon.

Tonight stays clear. The temperature will drop to 28°F, so keep the heater running.

Friday Warm-Up

Friday looks like the best day of the week. Highs will reach 57°F under sunny skies.
It might get a bit breezy with some wind gusts, but the warm air makes it worth it. If you need to wash the winter salt off your car, Friday is your best chance.

Saturday Night Slush

Saturday stays nice during the day with a high of 55°F. However, things get messy after dark. Rain starts after 10 p.m., then switches to a rain-snow mix after midnight. By Sunday morning, it will turn into light snow.

Forecasters say about half an inch of slush could be on the grass by Sunday morning.

Back to Winter

The cold returns for the start of the week. Highs on Sunday and Monday will top out near 35°F. There is also a 50% chance of more snow from Sunday night into Monday morning
