COLUMBUS: The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for Franklin County until 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. Cover sensitive plants and bring in anything that cannot handle a freeze, temperatures at John Glenn Columbus International Airport dropped to 39 degrees early this morning with calm winds.
Once the frost clears, Tuesday turns into a genuinely nice spring day. Mostly sunny skies with a high near 75 degrees. Southwest winds pick up in the afternoon to 13 to 18 mph with gusts up to 29 mph.
Tonight is a different story. Showers and thunderstorms are possible between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m., then showers become likely after 2 a.m. Low around 58 degrees. Sixty percent chance of rain overnight.
Rest of the Week
Wednesday brings a chance of showers with thunderstorms possible after 5 p.m. Still warm at a high near 74 degrees. Wednesday night clears out with a low around 56.
Thursday is the best day of the week. Sunny and warm with a high near 80 degrees. No rain.
Friday warms to near 82 degrees the warmest day of the forecast, with mostly sunny skies before a chance of showers after 2 p.m. Showers become likely Friday night after 8 p.m.
The Weekend
Saturday stays mild with a high near 72 and a chance of showers. Sunday looks sunny with a high near 73. Monday brings another chance of showers with a high near 76.

If you planted early this spring, bring in or cover tomatoes, peppers, herbs, and any other frost-sensitive plants before heading to bed tonight. The advisory runs until 10 a.m. temperatures will stay below freezing in some spots through the early morning hours.
