NORTH LINDEN – A Friday morning began with violence in North Linden as a shooting at a local bar and grill left one person dead and another injured. The Columbus Division of Police is currently on the scene at First Stop Bar & Grill, investigating what appears to be a dispute that turned deadly.
The Incident 4:05 a.m. Gunfire
Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Oakland Park Avenue at approximately 4:05 a.m. following reports of a shooting inside or near the establishment. Upon arrival, police found a chaotic scene with at least one victim suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Victims and Condition Updates
According to Columbus Police Sgt. Paul Szabo, two individuals were struck by gunfire:
One victim was rushed to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. Despite life-saving efforts, they were later pronounced dead by hospital staff.
A second individual reportedly walked into a local hospital with injuries sustained in the same shooting. Their current condition has not been officially released.
Preliminary Investigation
Initial reports from investigators suggest the violence may have stemmed from a physical or verbal altercation that began inside the First Stop Bar & Grill.
