Stabbing Near I-71 and East Hudson Leaves Man Critical, 1 Detained

A man is in critical condition after a stabbing at the Shell station on East Hudson Street, just off Interstate 71 in North Linden, early Tuesday. Columbus police detained one person at a nearby gas station, NBC4 Columbus reported.

Police received the call at about 5:10 a.m., according to NBC4 Columbus. Officers found a blood trail leading from the Shell station to an Amoco station two blocks east. Police detained another person there.

Police said the victim went to a hospital in critical condition. WSYX reported that police said two men were fighting before the stabbing.

Police have not said what led to the stabbing, NBC4 Columbus reported. Robbery detectives are assisting the investigation, police said, and NBC4 reported that the stabbing may be connected to a robbery. Police have not released the names of the victim or the person detained, and no charges have been announced.
