COLUMBUS: Southbound I-270 is closed on the southwest side of Columbus this morning after a crash.
The closure affects southbound I-270 between I-70 and Georgesville Road. As of 5:21 a.m., the ramps to southbound I-270 from I-70 East, I-70 West, U.S. 40, and Georgesville Road are all closed. The crash happened in the southbound lanes just south of Georgesville Road.
PulsePoint data shows two people were taken to the hospital. Their conditions have not been confirmed.
Drivers heading southwest on I-270 this morning should seek alternate routes. I-71 South to I-70 West is one option. Georgesville Road itself remains open for local traffic.
